NOPAL is the Mexican name for the prickly pear cactus. The cactus leaves of the Lol-Tun brand are the whole leaves of the nopal. The cactus leaves have been freed of their spines and are very popular in Mexico, especially as a side dish for salads and tacos. They are also often fried and eaten with a tortilla or tostada.
In Mexico, nopales are used in smoothies, salads or the cactus leaves as a substitute for bread or tortillas in the KETO diet.
