Traditional wooden mortar from Mexico, a handmade unique piece.

Our wooden mortar is made of the robust "Palo Fierro" (German: desert ironwood), a dense hardwood that grows in the Mexican desert of Sonora and is painstakingly shaped by hand into the small mortars. Palo Fierro is very hard and heavy and is therefore ideal for grinding spices and herbs, for example.
Each wooden mortar has an individual grain and is therefore unique. The pestle is made from the same piece of wood and fits exactly into the mortar, making crushing easier.

With its handy size, the mortar fits in every kitchen and is a real eye-catcher. Size approx. 4.5 cm x 4.5 cm x 7 cm (height including pestle). Inner diameter approx. 2.3 cm Weight approx. 90 g Hints Since this is a natural product, our photos are only examples. Due to the handcrafting and the grain of the wood, the mortar may vary slightly in size, shape and color. Not suitable for the dishwasher.
