Chile Cascabel (The name of this Mexican chili comes from the word "rattle") is a dried chili from Mexico. This chili variety is very popular in Mexican cuisine and very aromatic.

The CASCABEL chili, also called Sonajero chili, is a dried chili with a spherical shape, reddish-brown color and a diameter of about 3 cm. It has a hard shell and a mild, moderately spicy, nutty flavor.

The Cascabel chili is often used to make the famous Salsa Taquera and also adds flavor to Salsa Macha.
